Hengyuanxiang Group, a wool manufacturer based in Shanghai and also one of the official sponsors of the Beijing Winter Olympics, recruited knitting groups in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Zhejiang and Jiangsu to join in the project, while Li is responsible for personnel training, quality control and final assembly of the bouquets. In order to ensure the consistency of the bouquets, each knitting group is only in charge of one or two kinds of flowers, which will be sent to Hengyuanxiang headquarters for assembly after completion.

A perfectionist, Li did not want to produce any waste. If the offence is a serious one, he is disqualified. An interval must be provided between two events. Usually, at the Olympics, the interval provided is of 30 minutes. A point table has to be maintained to score the athletes' performances in the ten events. Winner of decathlon is the athlete who has accumulated most point in the event. For decathlon event, an athlete has to participate in all the ten events.

Who has won the most too? Olympic medal winners have come from many countries: this man didn't get one, though. Marathon runner Dorando Pietri, of Italy, had collapsed as he entered the stadium in London, and, was helped to his feet by officials and guided to the finish line.

He was disqualified for receiving assistance but the event, watched by 90, people, had such impact that Queen Alexandra of Britain subsequently presented him with a cup to mark his courage and determination.
